I had zero involvement with my Son's father or his family because of the street life he choose.
I married him at the age of 18 to escape an abusive Mother with dreams of babies & a big house with a white picket fence.
Reality hit, I got pregnant shortly after & we split up.
My Son's father was a street guy who, I found out later did very not good things.
Me, I didn't look back. I worked, raised my son, went to college at night & didnt miss a beat. Remarried my Fireman husband in 1987 then divorced but got back together three months before he was killed on 911 at the #WTCSouthTower.
