What experiences or credentials do you have that qualify you to write as and examiner?


I've experienced love and loss of love in my life. I'm a 49 year old woman and I know what "most" women want in relationships. We want to be loved, respected and cherished Most women who want more than a "casual" relationship want to share their life with a partner they consider to be thier soulmate. In 2001 I lost my former husband. He was killed on 911. He was one of the NYC Firemen. He went into the South Tower and never returned. We had divorced one another but were recently reunited. He was my soulmate. In retrospect, I feel that we had to go through what we both experienced in order to realize how much we loved one another. My advice for young women in relationships would be the following; Discuss your needs with your significant other. Realize that if your partner is not willing to give you what you want now, the chances of him ever giving you what you want ranks on the lower scale. Don't compromise your expectations - but be flexible.

In your articles, what are some topics you would examine and why?

How your partner treats you. I would discuss this topic to let women know how "I feel" a man should treat a woman. I'd also discuss in-law dynamics. I would discuss this because often times couples do have "in-law" issues. There can be differences between Mother-In-Laws/Daughter-In-Law due to trivial, meaningless differences.

We’ve often asked ourselves the following question in love and life….how can I be treated the way I deserve to be treated? How can I find true, compassionate love? Someone who truly cares for me and will always be there for me? The answer lies deep within ourselves. We first need to know what makes us tick. What are our needs, our desires? Do we fall in love easily, do we surrender ourselves to the first handsome man we lay our eyes on? If that sounds like you STOP!!! Learn your triggers.

Ask yourself the following questions; 1) Who 2) What 3) When 4) Where and 5) Why.

The first question; Who - who are you? What type of man are you best suited with? Is he a professional man, does he need to have a specific professional license after his name? i.e.; an MD, a Lawyer, a politician, an accountant, a professional athlete? Can I be happy with a regular blue collar type of worker? A fireman, a police officer, a school teacher?

The second question: What - What do I want out of a relationship? Do I want children (only if this applies to a woman of child bearing age - there is always invitro fertilization & adoption.) Do I want a companion, someone to travel the world with?

The third question; When - When would I like to see this mystery man appear into my life? Will I be willing to accept him for who he is?

The fourth question; Where - Where am I meeting possible love interests? Are you employed in a large organization? Do you interact with many people? Are you making yourself accessible to social events that will possible enable you to meet eligible men?

The fifth and final question; Why - Why do you feel you are not complete without a partner? What happens if you don’t meet Mr. Wonderful? What happens if you only Mr. Right Now?

You have to take in consideration the fact that you may not meet the man of your dreams when you’re ready to meet someone. It’s all about timing…timing plays a key role in what happens in our lives.

To all my readers, be patient….don’t rush into anything….get to know the person you’re involved with…find out how he interacts with his family…often times if there isn’t a strong loving caring bond with his family that can be a clear indicator of how he will treat you.

We learn what we see from our developmental years as children growing up.

The Ticking Clock

Now, today, tonight....as I watch how
quickly time keeps

moving I seem to be
in total amazement.

I've never realized how quickly time goes by until

NOW....

I guess because I'll be turning 50 in March...

good Lord willing or because I've seen

quite a bit thus far in my life??

I don't know what it is but for some

reason or another this year

went by like a fast moving

freight train....to me anyway?

Time Travel

I never realized how quick time goes by until I turned 35....I'm now 49 years young & 35 seems like yesterday.

As we approach 2010 I sincerely hope & pray  that this new year will bring some enlightened hope to many families & individuals who have lost so much.

I've always lived a simple life...

I've had no need to try & impress people

with the car I drive or where I live.

That means nothing to me.

I grew up in a middle class - lower middle class home

& I was taught early on that money

didn't grow on trees.

Life lessons that many individuals needed to

learn in today's economic climate. 

I can't tell you how many people I've become acquainted

with throughout the years who try to

"keep up with the Jone's!!"

All of that really means nothing

&

now, people realize this.

On the movie set "Collar"

South Pacific

We went to see the Broadway show "South Pacific" yesterday at Lincoln Center. We had a wonderful day!!

I love musicals. My husband isn't really into them but you have to compromise when your a "couple." After the show we did a bit of shopping & then we had dinner. The day was a 10!!

Thanksgiving Dinner 2009 - Home

My simple yet elegant Thanksgiving Dinner - 2009. I cooked turkey cutlets that I baked in apple cider with onions & sea salt & tri-colored ground peppercorns.

It was just my husband & myself & our two dogs. It was a very nice day. We were going to drive to his sisters house but she lives so far away. My husband has been working nights now so he needed to rest.


I'm glad we stood home!!

These are old pictures that I have of my ex-husband & I. Peter & I were back together when God took him home on September 11th 2001.

Peter raised my son Thomas J. Ruggiero since he was four years old. It is always sad around the holidays when our loved ones are no longer here with us.

Peter left this note before he went into the South Tower. He borrowed another firemans gear & left his wallet with this note inside. He wrote "I am in Ladder 42 Peter Bielfeld hold my stuff - tell my family I love them Mom Dad Patti & Brit Roger & Barbara. It is so sad & this time of year I get into a funk. I have to keep my head up & just know that there is a plan....something that we are all a part of.....something bigger than life itself.

Siempre en mi corazon y tu mi alma. In English that means, Forever in My heart & my soul. XXXXXOOOOOO

These are really old old pictures of me from when I was a little girl....I will be turning 50 years old in March, God willing! It's amazing how fast my life has moved on.....

This is a picture that my Mother took way back in the Summer of 1974. My brother Michael was on a leave from the US Navy. I'm sitting next to him wearing my floral colored dress. My older sister Catherine (Cathy) is sitting next to my brother. My younger sister Lucille (LuLu) is sitting next to Cathy.

My Mother raised four children on her own. My stepdad provided financial support but nothing else. He lived his life with his new wife. He was a real sport...as long as times were good.....I guess he lost his backbone after my Mother got sick. 

Oh well, I turned out pretty good. I love my floral print dress & my dark olive skin tone. My birth order is the middle child.  Middle children usually feel left out when there are two parents raising a family.  Not being part of my family seemed to work for me.  Oh well, my older sister & my younger sister were always the favorites.  My brother & myself...well, we weren't.  Whaw whaw....not me, life is what you make it.
